The story of the video “Jaded” by Aerosmith takes place in a theater. It is about kind of princess, one quite gorgeous, who is living in a fantastic world where there are many weird, strange-looking servants trying to please her at any rate. Moreover, there is always a sort of party or show with jokers, artists, dancers, etc., to entertain her. Even though the princess lives in this “idealized” world, she is always sad. The protagonist feels nothing, and that is why she starts a quest to leave her world of luxury. In her room there is a mirror that asks her what she wanted, she said she wanted “to feel”. Then, the mirror tells her that she must “find the forest”. Apparently, this is the only way for her to be free. In a book the princess finds out how to find it. Unfortunately, all the servants interrupt her escaping; they are always her so she cannot go away. Finally, in a desperate move, the princess starts to run from the servants, and even gets out of the theater. The servants were after her, but she ran as fast as she could and found the door that led her out of her realm into freedom. This explaining that all was probably part of the play.
