First mini project: Technology: A blessing or a curse?

Read the poem The Paradox of our times, by Jeff Dickson.

Then, solve the following tasks:

-Think about it, what it refers to and compose a short paragraph on what you the poem is about.
-Look for at least 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages of living today with all the technology we have
-Look for at least 5 advantages and 5 disadvantages of living 50 years ago with no advanced technology
-Get ready for your first "formal" oral presentation; you are going to present a topic related to technology, anyone you choose. Use any visual aids to help you present the topic.
Practice it, and avoid reading during the presentation.

***Suggestion: record yourself presenting to check pronunciation, grammar, etc.

  1. Jeff Dickson in his poem, The Paradox of our times deals with the issue of the contemporary life and the diverse problematic that involves this lifestyle. The author emphasizes (in) the diverse possibilities that humanity has, for example: taller buildings, bigger houses, more possessions and more years of life, however, apparently the peoples are confusing the true meaning of the life, in conclusions, the humanity are adding more years to life but don’t life to years…

  2. Greatly done! Just a few details:
put a coma before and after the title of the poem.
There is no need to put "in" after emphasizes.
Within a sentence, use however this way: ;however,
It is simply people, not the peoples
There is no need to say: the life, only say the true meaning of life
Start your final concluding sentence after a period (.)
    It is simply, in conclusion
HUMANITY IS, not humanity are, it does not matter if it includes many people
Finally, it is: more years to life, but not life to years
